- REPAIR BACK GATE DESIGN PLANS W91SMC-18--B7004-Repair Back Gate SYNOPSIS - GENERAL RFQ- TOTAL SB Set-aside Document Type: Pre-solicitation Notice Classification Code Z- REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF HIGHWAYS/ROADS/STREETS/BRIDGES/RAILWAYS ( Z2LB ) Set Aside: Small Business NAICS Code: 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction The 183d Wing Base Contracting Office intends to issue a Request for Quote to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary for the Repair of the Back Gate in Springfield, IL (Sangamon County). This project will provide for the repair of the back gate. The back gate on IL Route 29 is closed a majority of the time and is mainly used for large deliveries or when work is being done to the main entrance. Because of the crown of the existing roadway and surrounding topography, the gate sits approximately 18 inches above the road. This project will allow for the gate to sit approximately 4 inches above the road for increased security at the 183 WG as required to meet current codes and Air Force Instruction (AFI) requirements. The contract duration is 120 days after NTP. This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 237310, with a size standard of $36.5M. The magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or about 01 June 2018. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference is on 13 June 2018, 01:00PM local time, location will be in solicitation. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and base access requirements shown in the solicitation. A site visit will follow the pre-bid conference. All questions for the pre-bid conference must be submitted 3 business days prior to the meeting, via email to Alicia.C.Braun.mil@mail.mil and Brent.D.Keller.mil@mail.mil. The request for Quote closing date is on or about 02 July 2018. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Interested offerors must be registered in SAM.
