Description

Project No. 575-17-05S Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Grand Junction, CO This project requires the services of a construction firm having special knowledge and skill of construction required to renovate interior office areas by modifying architectural, mechanical and electrical systems. All work shall be completed in Building 6 at the VA Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado. Intent The primary objective is to demolish existing interior wall, finishes, doors and ceilings of currently occupied space in Building 6. The demolish space shall be renovated by installing new walls, doors, flooring and ceilings. The existing HVAC min-split systems shall be relocated to accommodate new space occupancy. Life safety systems will be revised to meet current code standards. Background Building 6 is a concrete wall, floor and roof structure constructed in 1948. The windows are aluminum thermos-pane and pivot to an open position. The area has been surveyed for hazardous materials (asbestos/lead) with no abatement actions to be taken..
