- Description
- Solicitation Amendment 01 SF-30 THIS PROCUREMENT IS BEING SOLICITED UNRESTRICTED, FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. SMALL BUSINESSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). Background: The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is responsible to the United States Congress for maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of the facilities under its jurisdiction. The USBG is a living plant museum that informs visitors about the importance, and often irreplaceable value, of plants to the well-being of humans and to earth's fragile ecosystems. The USBG moves ce1tain plants outside during appropriate weather conditions. This provides a benefit to plant health by allowing the plants to be outside. In order to safely use equipment to move the larger plants, a paver pad is required under these areas. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238140 with small business size standard $15M. Evaluation factors for award will be on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis. Important: Site Visit: All bidders shall visit the site to inspect the areas, confirm measurements and specifications where the pavers will be installed prior to providing a quote for the work. There will be ONE site visit for ALL interested parties on June 8th at 8:00am Eastern Time at The USBG Production Facility located at: 4700 SHEPHERD PKY SW, WASHINGTON DC 20032-5203. The site visit is required before submitting quotations. Important: Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to design and install a permeable interlocking concrete paver pad that meets ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) standards. The permeable pavers must be similar or equal to Techo Bloc Permea or Belgard Eco Dublin.
