Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation issued as a Request for Quotations. The requirement being solicited as a First Source II 100% Small Business Set-aside in the Small Business Socio-Economic Category using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13. The NAICS Code is 423430 with a Small Business Size Standard of 250 employees. The solicitation number is 70Z09018QVRL197. A Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the Definite Items anticipated. A. REQUIREMENT : Introduction and Background The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Finance Center (FINCEN) conducts financial reporting and payments for the USCG. Sheet fed scanners with high-level scanning capabilities currently utilized are to scan invoices and documentation so that payment processing can occur in a timely manner. Scanners use occurs daily during the week and each machine will produce on average 3000 to 4000 scans per day with a maximum-recorded amount of 8000 scans in a single day. Requirement FINCEN has a requirement for a scanner(s). A brand name or equivalent to the DR-6030C requested for quote. Review technical specifications of this model scanner in the listing below. This listing displays our minimally acceptable technical specifications. The FINCEN needs to purchase one scanning machine in order to verify functionality and compatibility when operating with USCG systems combined with our unique security requirements. Options to purchase up to 14 additional machines will also be required. This scanner must have a built in USB port for connection. The scanner must undergo and complete testing prior to enacting options to purchase additional scanners of the same make and model to ensure their compatibility and functionality with systems/security requirements unique to the USCG. After testing completion, if the machine fails testing by not performing according to its specifications and FINCEN requirements, the option to purchase additional scanners shall not be occur.
