Description

**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 664-18-323, OR Pharmacy Remodeling for the Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego VA Health Care System (SDVAHCS) has a requirement for the remodel of the pharmacy ante and drug storage rooms to comply with USP-797 and USP-800. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Work includes, but is not limited to the space reconfiguration results in increasing size of the Ante Rooms and new floor plan will provide better flow of pharmacy operation. The pharmacy remodel needs to comply with the requirements of the VA directive for USP-797 and USP-800. The requirement includes but is not limited to air-change rate, filtration, temperature control, space pressurization control, and location or air inlet/outlet. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Sean Berrios. Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to sean.berrios@va.gov, must be received by the Contract Specialist prior to the scheduled site visit. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The San Diego VA Health Care System (SDVAHCS) Engineering Department requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, services, and design for the reconfiguration of the pharmacy located at the San Diego VA Health Care System. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work be performed at the following VA facility: SAN DIEGO VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (SDVAHCS): 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $36.5M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 300 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in June, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN.
