- U.S. Army TARDEC Ground Vehicle Survivability & Protection 2018 Call For Abstracts "Holistic Defense for Current Force & Future Fight" Training symposium Survivability & Protection 2018 will take place 6-7 November, 2018 at Fort Benning Maneuver Battle Lab, Columbus GA. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS The Technical Program Committee invites papers for presentation at Survivability & Protection 2018. The Technical Program Committee will extend invitations to present based on a moderated peer review of submitted abstracts. There are no limits regarding the number of abstracts individuals/agencies may submit. Papers must represent work applicable to one of three topic categories: Prevent, Preempt, Disrupt/Defeat. ABSTRACTS DUE JUNE 11, 2018 Submit an UNCLASSIFIED or FOUO Distribution C or Distribution D abstract with a maximum length of two pages. Abstracts should state the paper/presentation objective; outline the problem requiring solution or the method of approach to research; be explicit with respect to the types of data to be included and summarize the conclusions that will be made. Submit all abstracts via email to usarmy.detroit.rdecom.mbx.tardec-gvsp-symposia@mail.mil in PDF format. Submitted abstracts are evaluated based on the following criteria: • Relevance/importance to its respective submission category and the U.S. Army and Department of Defense ground vehicles • Originality and importance to the scientific field or technology • Sound scientific methodology • Clarity and readability Important Dates to Remember: Abstract Submission Due June 11, 2018 Invitations to Present Sent July 10, 2018 Draft Papers Due September 17, 2018 Briefing/Presentation Due October 18, 2018 Final Papers Due November 1, 2018 Survivability & Protection 2018 Training Symposium November 6-7, 2018 INVITATIONS TO PRESENT WILL BE SENT TO SELECTED AUTHORS Members of the Technical Program Committee will send notification via email to the main point of contact listed on abstracts that are chosen to participate. Authors selected to present papers at Survivability & Protection 2018 will receive detailed information regarding presentation format and paper requirements.
