- Sources Sought Synopsis This is a Sources Sought notice in accordance with FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potentially interested Small Business firms with a primarily HVAC (see requirements below) and may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. The work shall be located at building 16007, located at the intersection of Old Ironsides Ave and 42nd St, Fort Hood TX. The exact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer. The building will be occupied during the performance of work under this contract. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing HVAC system (boiler, pump, AHU and all associated accessories) with new HVAC system and upgrade the control system with new DDC control system in bldg. 16007. The Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Fort Hood through the Mission & Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood (MICC-FH) desires to procure Construction Services to provide repairs, construction, Fort Hood, Texas. The magnitude of the anticipated project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of qualified and interested Small Business firms. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov). It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor FBO for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is: 238220 Plumbing Heating and Air-conditioning with a size standard of $15 million. Required Capabilities: The requirement has a need for qualified, experienced offerors in the HVAC field. The work shall include but not limited to the following Summary of Requirement. Please include answers to the below questions in your response: 1. Are you licensed for, HVAC, Master Electrician, Master Plumber and all other trades for this requirement? 2. This requirement requires 3 years' experience on similar jobs. Does your company have 3 years' experience or more? 3. How long have you been doing business for HVAC work? 4. Please attach 3 references for similar work that your firm has performed. 5. Regarding project schedules, are you familiar with Gantt Charts and their purposes? 6. What is your bonding capability and limits? 7. Would you consider work on Fort Hood which includes the Department of Labor Construction Wage Rate Requirement statute and guidelines? 8. Is your company name and address registered in System for Award Management (SAM)? 9. Will you accept Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as means of payment? 10.
