HSSW UPDATE 1 June 18 RESEARCH and RELATED PERSONAL DATA RESEARCH and RELATED Senior Key Person Profile UPDATE: 4 June 2018 - See Attachment The Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW), High Speed Strike Weapon (HSSW) Technology Maturation program will host a Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) with Industry on 14-15 July 2015 at Eglin AFB, Florida. This event will provide a forum for the HSSW technology maturation program to communicate technical challenges and the associated technologies of interest for reducing risk and elevating the Technology Readiness Level (TRL). This TIM will improve communication and collaboration by sharing specific information regarding the Hypersonic Science and Technology (S&T) Vision and HSSW Technology Maturation efforts within AFRL. The focus of this TIM will be to share information with industry on the S&T Vision and a variety of technology areas and the associated technology challenges that include but are not limited to: Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A), Ordnance, Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Airframe and Structures, Propulsion, and Materials and Manufacturing. The TIM will also cover some aspects of work that includes discussion of respective research programs to assist industry in IR&D considerations. During the event, AFRL will present an overview of HSSW goals and objectives, identify specifics of research areas of interest, and discuss opportunities for collaboration and partnering. This is a technical interchange with subject matter experts; therefore, attendees will be able to ask questions about the material presented and the content therein. Attendees are encouraged to schedule follow up sidebar meetings with AFRL for the following day. For attendance, a secret clearance or higher is required as well as proof that the contractor is a DoD contractor. Event Attendance and Sidebar Meetings : Requests to attend this meeting should be submitted via email to Mr. Shawn Kidd shawn.kidd.2.ctr@us.af.mil. Due to space constraints, companies are limited to five representatives per company and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis up to the room capacity, after which a wait list will be established. Please note that attendance information will NOT be available to the public. The Government will send a confirmation email to each company to confirm attendance. Companies are encouraged to schedule sidebar meetings with Hypersonics S&T leads and subject matter experts starting on 15 July 7:30 AM to discuss the Hypersonic S&T Vision and HSSW Technology Maturation efforts. Those interested in scheduling a meeting must send a request to Mr. Shawn Kidd shawn.kidd.2.ctr@us.af.mil and indicate the area of interest. These meetings will be attended only by the industry and government staff, so proprietary and classified information may be discussed. Meeting Access and Clearances: The preferred method is to send clearances via JPAS. Please insert "HSSW Meeting with Industry" as the name of the event. AFRL's JPAS SMO code is AFRL-RW. If clearances cannot be sent through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), additional paperwork is required for base access. Attendees will be contacted with detailed information on base and meeting access. Please allow 1-2 weeks to process security paperwork for meeting and base access. Logistics: The TIM will take place at the Eglin Conference Center, Bldg 16 (located on the corner of Fifth Street and Georgia Avenue) on 14 July, 2015 from 0800 to 1630 CST. Sidebar meetings will take place at the Eglin Conference Center (Bldg 16) on 15 July, 2015 from 0730 to 1630 CST. Note: This notice is being issued for planning and information purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to the notice, or participation in the event (to include attendee travel costs), nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this notice. Meals will not be provided at this event.
