- Page 1 of 1 DESCRIPTION: The Iowa City VA Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Precision Water Systems, LLC, 2464 130th St, Marshalltown, Ia, 50158, under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 due to only having one responsible source that can provide services and support for a Better Water Matrix Series Reverse Osmosis Unit in the Dialysis Unit. This is notice of intent to award a sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2, Due to Only One Responsible Source that Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the Government in any manner. Your concerns will be considered if you respond to this posting with a similar product/service. The justification for this sole source request is based on the Iowa City VA Health Care System maintaining their Better Water Matrix Series Reverse Osmosis Unit in the Dialysis Unit to AAMI Water Quality Standards. This service is essential to the Iowa City VA Health Care System complying with all federal and AAMI Water Quality Standards in order to ensure veteran s health safety is maintained. No other sources for the required services for the Better Water Matrix Series Reverse Osmosis Unit. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by email at john.milroy@va.gov. Inquires must be received by 4:00 PM June 6, 2018 to be considered by the Government.
