Description of Work: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT; A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is conducting market research to identify potential certified Small Business sources in any of the following categories: U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a), HubZone Small Business (HubZone), Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business and/or Small Business (SB) sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability for the following proposed contract: Stone Seawall Repair Hereford Inlet - Anglesea, Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet, North Wildwood, New Jersey in North Wildwood, Cape May County, NJ. Award of a firm fixed price contract is anticipated in September 2018 THIS CONTRACT REQUIRES OPEN OCEAN CONSTRUCTION. Contract work consists of repairs to the seawall of approximately 176 feet between Stations 6+74 and 8+50, along Hereford Inlet, in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The major items of work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: Rehandling of approximately 2,050 Ton existing underlayer stone Placement of 1,500 square yards Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) marine mattress Placement of stone fill Placement of 900 Ton of capstone Structures monitoring Due to the close proximity to residential structures and lack of available land for staging, all access to the construction area is through water-borne operations. The conditions in and about the work site are extremely dynamic and dangerous. The tidal currents are strong and the waves are generally rough. The frequent passing of large commercial and recreational vessels create large waves that will affect construction operations. The contract duration for construction is anticipated at approximately 210 calendar days and the magnitude of this construction project will be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required for 100% of contract award. NAICS for this project is 237990 and the size standard is $36.5 million. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Business contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in the similar type contracts, as well as their technical capabilities. Please include size/classification of your firm, bonding capacity (single project and aggregate), details of similar projects (3-5), completion dates, references and contract amount. Narratives shall be no longer than FIVE (5) pages. that are similar to the construction work and of similar size, scope and complexity of this notice.
