- Description
- Redondo Beach Visitor's Guide OMS/UCI Training Event Learn about Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) to better position your organization for future opportunities. This training event is a combination of briefings and workshops presented over two days, 1 and 2 August 2018. For government personnel, this event will help you learn the "how" and "why" of incorporating the Open Architecture Management (OAM) Standards (OMS/UCI) into your acquisition strategies. For industry providers, this forum will assist you with understanding the technical details of the OMS and UCI standards and how to begin using these standards and related products in your system developments. OMS/UCI is an industry-led initiative chartered by the AFRCO to develop and demonstrate a consensus-based, non-proprietary, open architecture for integrating subsystems and services into airborne platforms as well as ground systems with a special emphasis on the space domain. The business cases driving this effort are the need to reduce acquisition and life-cycle costs as well as the need to reduce the risks associated with development, sustainment, technology refresh, and capability upgrades of mission system architectures. We want to ensure equal access to this event; however, space is limited so reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Each company's sector is limited to three (3) attendees in order to accommodate the maximum number of companies. The event is unclassified and is limited to U.S. Citizens. Also, the information will be at Distribution D; foreign participation is NOT authorized. Cell phones, laptops, and other restricted electronic devices are prohibited at the venue except in limited areas. Please plan accordingly. The location for this event is the Aerospace Presentation Center (APC). The APC is located at 5470 Marine Ave, Redondo Beach CA 90278.
