Description
N6264518R0035 The requirement is for one (1) analyzer, laboratory, microbiology, susceptibility, automated [15-306] for USNH Yokosuka, brand name or equal (BNE) to the bioMerieux VITEK 2 Compact 30. The automated microbiology susceptibility analyzer shall be capable of preforming for an annual workload of approximately 1,300 tests. The unit shall be fully automated, capable of accommodating at least 30 test kits, and continuous flow throughput. The unit shall perform discrete microbial identification (ID) and antibody susceptibilities testing (AST). The unit shall identify extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) organisms and provide rapid identification of anaerobes, Corynebacterium spp, Neisseria spp, Haemophilus spp, and yeast along with the Gram positive and Gram negative isolates. The unit shall provide on-line validation of test kit results. The unit shall be capable of providing ID and AST results in 5 to 8 hours. The unit shall utilize barcode technology. The unit shall have at least 40 user-defined report fields available for generating reports. The unit shall generate reports which demonstrate organism occurrence and trending, percent and cumulative percent susceptibility and trending, biochemical patterns, and workload unit statistics and logbooks. The unit shall include a method for data backup. The unit shall include a power conditioner universal power source (UPS). The unit shall include all hardware, software, licensing, and startup consumables to enable full system functionality. The unit shall be bench-top with a maximum dimension of 72 x 36 x 30 inches (HxWxD). The electrical requirements are 115VAC, 60 Hz. The vendor shall provide installation, validation testing, onsite and offsite user training. The vendor shall provide validation of the analyzers, including normal range verification, demonstration of linearity, reportable range, replication studies, recovery studies and establishment of initial control ranges using control materials. The unit shall bi-directionally interface with the Composite Health Care System (CHCS)/Military Healthcare System (MHS) Genesis and the laboratory information system (LIS). The vendor shall provide two (2) operational and two (2) service manuals, each in English. The system, including claims made for the product, shall be compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, with respect to marketing and delivering medical products for use in the United States of America. These requirements shall apply even if delivery is requested outside of the United States of America. The system shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements. Contractor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty, and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Upon delivery, the contractor shall be responsible for uncrating the unit/system, transporting it through the facility to the location of intended use for installation, and removing of all trash created in this process. If interim storage is required, the vendor shall make arrangements for the storage. The vendor is also responsible for the initial instrument operational and performance validations.
