- Under Statutory Authority U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Government anticipates entering into a sole source procurement negotiations with Boston Scientific Corporation to provide support service and preventive maintenance of the Angiojet Peripheral Thrombectomy System at VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) located at 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, NV 89502. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by June 11, 2018, 9:00AM Pacific Time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before June 11, 2018, 9:00AM Pacific Time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Systems to be serviced include: Description Model# Serial # Manufacturer Angiojet Angiojet U4476 Boston Scientific Service providers must have been engaged in maintaining/servicing the equipment listed for a minimum of 5 years. Due to the criticality of sterilization systems, service providers must have a field service representative who has received maintenance training specific to the models listed above and provide a 48-hour response time. Interested service providers must provide evidence of appropriate training/certifications for field service representatives providing services for the equipment listed above.
