- Statement of Work RHC-C Storage Area Network 1.Scope: The requirement to acquire a new Storage Area Network (SAN) is based on the need to replace the current SAN that is out of warranty. This present a risk to the data currently stored on this SAN. The new SAN will be used to support RHC-C HQ ongoing mission of supporting patient care throughout the RHC-C region. The utilization of the new SAN is stated as follows: a.Currently RHC-C HQ supports a business intelligent application called QlikView. This application is used to pull patient data from the hospitals within the RHC-C region. The data that is stored on the SAN is used for reporting purposes for the RHC-C HQ command as well as for the Region's hospitals. The current storage requirement for this project is at 50TB with an estimated 10% yearly continued growth of storage space for this application. As the QlikView storage needs grow, there will be a requirement for data encryption as well as the abilities to move the data to an offsite storage or the cloud for purpose of archiving the patient data. b.RHC-C HQ virtualizes 80% of their servers. The SAN will be used to support the virtual environment based on Army requirements. RHC-C HQ currently uses VMware 6.5 as the virtualization application. The current storage for RHC-C virtual environment is around 70TB and continues to grow. c.The SAN will give RHC-C additional space to migrate the current SharePoint physical server environment to VMware 6.5 virtual environment. The RHC-C SharePoint is a collaborative platform that supports the mission of patient care throughout the region. 2.Requirements: a. The Storage Area Network (SAN) device must have the usable capacity of 300TB after the configuration of RAID. b. Data at Rest Encryption protects against unauthorized access to lost, stolen, or failed drives by ensuring all sensitive user data on the system is encrypted as it is written to disk. The SAN must provide a scalable solution that is not likely to negatively impact host I/O traffic. c. The SAN must support applications such as Microsoft, VMware, Linux and support new technologies such as Docker and vSphere Containers d. The SAN must have the abilities to connect to a third party cloud service provider. 3.Salient Characteristics a. Storage area network (SAN) device with 300TB usable capacity using both SAS/SSD for hybrid-Flash system, b. Must support redundant Controllers, 10Gbe SFP+ SCSI (4 or more) ports on both Controllers, c. Support RAID, 6 and 10, d. The device must be able to expand. e. Three years warranty with two option years. f. The SAN device must support Microsoft Windows Server and VMware ESXi, vSphere Containers and Docker. g. Redundant power supply, h. Support 7x24 HW/SW On-site service, i. The system must support Snapshots and Data Compression, j. Asynchronous / Synchronous replication, k. Data at rest Encryption l. Connect iSCSI on multiple 10Gbs or faster port options. 10GBaseT ports can auto negotiate speeds. m. The quote must also include training for two people for the storage device
