Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Naval Air Systems Command, E-2/C-2 Airborne Tactical Data System Program Office (PMA-231), Patuxent River MD intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, indefinite delivery requirements type, sole-source contract with the Rolls-Royce Corporation, 450 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis IN, 46225. The anticipated contract will include a base year and four option years. The items to be procured, manufactured and delivered are as follows: (1) T56-A-427A engine, (2) Power Section Unit Assembly, (3) Reduction Gear Unit Assembly and (4) Torque Meter Unit Assembly. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is based upon Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies or services required are available from only one source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
