Description
The products contained within this order have been requested to conduct NAMRU6.2017.0012 protocol titled "Surveillance and Characterization of the Molecular Resistance Factors of Bacterial Pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR" to analyze bacterial isolates causing infections or samples taken due to infections, including nosocomial (focusing on ESKAPE pathogens), diarrheal, and wound infections or from urethral discharge syndrome (focusing on Neisseria gonorrhoeae) for further identification and characterization of their antibiotic resistance patterns. The materials requested will be utilized to characterize the antimicrobial resistance patterns of resistant bacterial infections within Latin American countries. These materials have been requested from the same suppliers for several previous years and are in keeping with the industry standard. Maintaining the same vendor for each of the requested materials also allows us to maintain consistency in our studies and will facilitate year-year comparison. This pre-solicitation is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government.
