- Description
- The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office for Coastal Management, Charleston South Carolina, is issuing notice of intent to negotiate a sole source procurement with the Association of State Floodplain Managers for providing a venue for the transfer of information to the Center's primary customer, the coastal resource management community during the 2019 Coastal GeoTools conference. The conference is a unique gathering of staff from state and local coastal resource management programs, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, private industry and federal government agencies from around the nation. The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 561920 with a size standard of $11 million. The conference will be held February 11-14. 2019 The contractor shall provide the following services: 1) overall conference management; 2) registration management for GeoTools participants; 3) conference registrations for staff; 4) provide room, staging, fulfill AV/Technical requirements 5) exhibit floor space; 6) manage information technology logistics; 7) incorporate GeoTools content across all digital platforms including conference app, website, and social media; 8) provide banners, signage, agendas, handouts, and programs containing GeoTools related information; and 9) provide designated reports to Office for Coastal Management representative to monitor contract execution. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(2(i). This will be a commercial acquisition per FAR 13.5. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available or will be issued. Interested parties may identify their interest and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by 9:00 A.M. EST June 22nd, 2018. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
