- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source/Brand Name contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.106-1(b)- Soliciting From A Single Source and FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Kentucky Air National Guard Special Tactics Squadron, 1101 Grade lane Louisville, KY 40213 has a requirement to procure the following items: Line Item 0001: Harris RF-7801 Test Set QTY 2 EA The 123rd KYANG has a Brand Name requirement to purchase Harris RF-7801 Test Set QTY 2 Each. This is a brand name requirement and will be procured as such IAW FAR 13.501and U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Only one brand is suitable for this requirement because the supplies are unique and/or highly specialized. The RF-7801 system is the only system that allows users to conduct both narrow-band and wide-band radio testing, with the capability to test multi-channel radios. The test set allows direct control of radio maintenance and provides the functionality of multiple test instruments. There are no other systems on the market that provide this capability. The RF-7801 is listed in the required test equipment for the 117G radio instruction guide and continue to be purchased for all Special Operations Forces units Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
