- **PLEASE READ: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW** Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about June 26, 2018. Description: The project involves furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to apply 350 tons of hot asphalt concrete pavement, type PG-64-16 as skin patching and pothole patching over 11.4 miles of road 28N35 (Rat Trap Gap). Applying a single layer 3/8 inch chip seal using 2000 tons of 3/8" chips, 200 tons PMCQS- 2h Oil and fog sealing using 28 tons of CSS-1 emulsified asphalt on the same road. Other work includes removing the existing asphalt running surface from Dubakella Bridge (10 CY) on the 29N30 (Wild Mad Road), laying down 170 SY of paving geotextile and repaving the bridge running surface (18Tons) with hot asphalt concrete pavement, type PG-64-16. This area is located on the South Fork Management Unit, (SFMU), Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Yolla Bolla District, in Trinity County, California. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any necessary incidentals to accomplish work on this project. Location: The project is located off Highway 36 just west of Wildwood, CA. off the Wild Mad Road. The directions for the project site are shown below: From Redding, CA. take I-5 South and drive approximately 16 miles to the Bowman Road (exit 662). Turn Right on Bowman Road and travel South West for 16 miles to the intersection of Highway 36. Turn right onto Highway 36 and travel west for approximately 38 miles, just past Wildwood, to the Wild Mad Road. Turn left onto the Wild Mad Road (29N30) and travel south 8.8 miles to Pine Root Saddle, turn left onto the 28N35 (Rat Trap Gap Road) and start of Project. Price Range: $500,000 - $1,000,000 Period of Performance: 08/13/2018 to 09/30/2019 Estimated Start Date: August 13, 2018 Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Bonds: A Bid guarantee is required with the offer. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful contractor within 10 days of award. Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than date and time indicate on the solicitation. SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award.
