- Description
- This Sources Sought Announcement is to assist the Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) to identify potential sources to provide a micro gas chromatograph. The Government requests that responses be submitted electronically to mary.k.prebensen.civ@mail.mil and walter.x.zukas.civ@mail.mil by June 26, 2018 by 5pm EST. Background: The Government (NSRDEC) is in the need of a micro gas chromatograph (Micro GC) for rapid determination of vapor concentrations in a gas stream. The Micro GC must provide fast and precise gas analysis through the use of microbore capillary columns for use over a broad spectrum of chemicals through a multi-channel system. This system will need to provide both automatic sampling and faster analysis (seconds versus minutes when compared to a standard GC) for continuous monitoring of a gas stream. The Government will use this system to determine chemical permeation through protective materials. Description: The following specifications are required. General Specifications: Micro GC (11" height, 6.5" width, 21" depth, approximate weight 23 pounds) Power: 90 to 130 Vac, 50-60 Hz Specific Specifications: System to be equipped with appropriate Micro GC columns (expected minimum of three columns) to accurately analyze the following chemical vapors in a room temperature gas stream in the concentration range of 1 part per million (PPM) to 1000 PPM: water, toluene, trichloroethylene, ethanol, and Vertrel XF. Analysis times for a complete cycle should not exceed 120 seconds. Deliverables: Micro GC with all associated hardware for three GC channels and software for use on a government furnished PC. Delivery Date: The Government anticipates 4 weeks lead time for this commercial item. Please identify timeframe required for delivery. Government Furnished Property (Equipment/Materials/Information/Computer Utilization): N/A Interested parties are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Announcement.
