- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), NOR IS IT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). Offers or proposals will not be accepted. Additionally, this notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract and, it does not obligate the Government to pay for any information, bid and/or proposal preparation costs. This RFI SHALL NOT be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the Government. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. PURPOSE OF NOTICE: The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to assist in determining if responsible sources exist and if a small business set-aside is appropriate. The Government is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide the following missile guidance system trainer: NSN: 6920-01-483-0554TA, Part Number: 10093-199-11, Noun: Minuteman III Missile Guidance System Trainer, System: WS-133A, LGM-30G Missile, estimated quantity: 3. The Government has unlimited rights on the trainer drawings, but DOES NOT own the detailed design. GENERAL INFORMATION: Information contained in this synopsis is subject to change. It is the responsibility of the prospective offeror to check this site regularly for any changes. Interested contractors should respond to this notice if applicable, and respond to the questionnaire below. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions. This is NOT an RFP, nor a RFQ, and is not to be construed as any commitment by the Government. This notice is not an offer by the Government to enter into a contract. The Government will not pay for any information prepared, or provided by interested parties. Interested Small Business concerns must identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement within 15 days of this notice. An electronic response is the preferred method. Capability information is requested from all interested parties and is encouraged to be emailed to the Contracting Specialist, Lauren Sydnor, at lauren.sydnor.1@us.af.mil with the completed Market Research Questionnaire. Responses shall be provided no later than 25 June 2018. The Government is under no obligation to consider information received after the due date as part of the formal market research for this acquisition. Market Research Questionnaire: 1. Briefly describe your company's primary business line(s). Additionally, describe the services your company provides and your company's primary customer base. 2. Would your company be interested in providing a quote to accomplish this work? Negative responses are also encouraged. 3. If not interested in providing a quote, explain why. 4. Can your company perform 50 percent of the work with your company's own employees? If not, explain why. 5. The NAICS code associated with this acquisition is 811219/336419. Identify your company's size standard and socioeconomic status under the appropriate NAICS (i.e., HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged Business, etc) 6. Does your company have experience in working with and overseeing DoD contracts? 7.
