Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement to refurbish the Airport Surface Detection Equipment Elevator (ASDE)-3 Tower Climber elevator Type US 650 1R, Serial Number 11881146. The elevator was originally manufactured and installed by Champion (Alimak Hek, Inc) The specific tasks for this refurbishment effort are: 1) Thoroughly inspect all mechanical and electrical components and make repair recommendations if personnel safety or equipment serviceability is in question. 2) Check all the elevator controller circuit boards for the proper relay retention devices, and that they are installed correctly. Supply and install as necessary 3) Supply and install new gearbox assembly 4) Adjust drive sled to limit rack and pinion wear and provide the smoothest ride possible. 5) Supply and install safety device and drop test elevator. 6) Supply and install new trolley wheel and hub assemblies. 7) Supply and install new car guide rollers. 8) Perform a complete inspection and lubricate elevator in its entirety. 9) Return the elevator to serviceable status and ensure all pertinent inspections for safety compliance have been satisfied. 10) Check and adjust (equalize) the tensions in each suspension rope (if applicable). Provide before and after documentation. 11) Provide a 12 month warranty for material and workmanship. 12) Preparing for shipment and shipping all required parts and materials to the FAA Academy. The FAA does not have technical data, plans, drawings, manufacturing specifications, and other necessary documentation. The contractor must have access to the specifications and drawings to refurbish Champion (Alimak Hek, Inc) elevators. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA identifying your company capable of the refurbishment. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey must provide their responses with Market Survey File AC-08-03224, to arrive by June 18, 2018, no later than 5:00 pm CST.
