Description

Sources Sought The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division (AMD) Sources Sought for Commercial Item / Services Purchase(s) The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks information on vendors that can develop, test, and deploy modified gateware to improve the RTIO event throughput of the Advanced Real-Time Infrastructure for Quantum Physics (ARTIQ) experimental control system currently in use by NIST. Reference attached Sources Sought for full detialed description. CONTRACTOR'S MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the existing ARTIQ system architecture and design, which is necessary for successful implementation of the work. The contractor must also have suitable experience in designing and implementing FPGA firmware/gateware and performing hardware-in-the-loop continuous integration testing for FPGA firmware/gateware for projects of an equivalent or greater complexity than ARTIQ. Demonstrated expertise with core ARTIQ technologies, including but not limited to: Python, Rust, Migen, LLVM, MiSoC/mor1kx, llvmlite, Qt, pyqt, or suitable interoperable equivalents, is required. The contractor must also have demonstrated experience working closely with physical scientists as end customers.
