Description

COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION: Cardiac Surgery Unit (CSU) Advanced Life Support (ALS) training services at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas Description: This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, and is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13; simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is 36C256-18-Q-0707 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-94 & 2005-95 (effective 01/19/17), Revision 3 (07/21/17). Provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulations supplement (VAAR) can be accessed on the Internet at http://www.arnet.gov/far (FAR) and http://vaww.appc1.va.gov/oamm/vaar (VAAR) (iv) This solicitation is issued as Full and Open Competition. This is a lowest priced technically acceptable (LPTA) requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 611699, CSU-ALS Training services and the size standard is $20.5m (v) This combined synopsis/solicitation is for purchase of the following services: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, material, supervision, transportation, management, and personnel required for Cardiac Surgery Unit Advanced life support training at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77030. (vi) Description of requirement is as followed: Contractor shall coordinate with the SICU Nurse Educator to schedule training not limited to Monday thru Saturday from 8:00 am 4:30 pm annually from FY18 - FY23. The training should support nurses, surgeons, and physician assistants, nurse practitioners who care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients. All work shall be in compliance with the herein scope of work, other terms and conditions of the contract. See attached S02 Combined Synopsis Solicitation which includes the statement of work (SOW) and it applies to the technical requirements for CSU-ALS Training services. The tentative period of performance is June 25, 2018 June 24, 2023. Only electronic offers will be accepted.
