- Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport is contemplating award of a sole source contract to Applied Physical Sciences Corporation, of Gorton, CT under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The procurement will be a modification to an existing cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) contract, which was competitively procured through a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the development of Hybrid Energy Systems technologies in support of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) Blue Wolf Program. The nature of the existing contract falls under the realm of Research and Development (R&D) which includes the incumbent contractor's intellectual property. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be received by 10:00 a.m. pacific standard time on 19 June 2018. Responses shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to winston.dimagiba@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Reference number N00253-15-C-1001.
