Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal," "offeror," contractor, and "offeror" may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as "proprietary" or "confidential," intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued by VISN 2 Contracting Office in Albany, NY for the purpose of collecting information about procurement of Bariatric Bed for Montrose Campus at 2094 Albany Post Road Montrose, NY 10548. The VA is seeking to provide for this requirement as of 20 days after receipt of award. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 339113 Furniture, hospital, specialized, manufacturing. The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work section of this document. (e) Cursory market research has identified several small businesses that may be able to provide for this requirement. Contractors that are able to meet the requirements in the attachment are encouraged to email a capability statement and full information to Dayna Dickson at Dayna.Dickson@va.gov - Part of the purpose of this sources sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their size status under said NAICS. If contractor is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or any other special category of contractors, then contractor is responsible for providing documentation in support of this. This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. - Contractors shall also identify any Federal Supply Schedules that may carry the desired services. - Contractors shall identify pertinent point of contact for company, contractor DUNS number for size standard and socioeconomic verification in SAM and VIP. - Contractors shall include any relevant comments about the Attachment(s) if applicable. STATEMENT OF WORK General Information: Title of project: SIZEWISE BEDS Scope of work: The vendor will deliver 2 electric beds: 1 low bed, 1 bariatric bed. They need to go into Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg, cardiac chair position, have an alarm integrated with the burse call system, intendent lock out, and one touch CPR. The regular bed and long have an 850 LB capacity. The bariatric needs to hold 1000 lb. Options needed are manual CPR release and under bed lighting. Low Body Bed: 2 EA 39"/42"/48" x 82" 850 lb. capacity Full electric, Bed Hi/Low (7.5" low / 30.5" high) Manual CPR Release Head Up/Down, Foot Up/Down, Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg Sapphire 1100EC System: 2 EA 39 W x 80 L 1,000 lbs. capacity. 8 mattress height. Power Cord: Hospital grade plug. Evolution Bed: 1 EA 39"/42"/48" x 82" 850 lb. capacity Full electric; Bed Hi/Low (9.0" low / 30" high) High Impact Head/Foot Boards and Side rails. Define Perimeter Mattress: 1 EA 48 x 80 Background: The low bed will go on the CLC (H1) and return the rental bed. The bariatric bed will go on the medical unit (E2). Performance Period: The contractor shall provide the units required under the SOW in 40 Calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes and earlier completion date and the Government accepts the contractor s proposal, the contractor s proposed completion date shall prevail.
