- J&A redacted_BNO Combined Synopsis/Solicitation This requirement is for twelve (12) Hand Drills, Surgical, Bone [11-331] and sixteen (16) Blades, Electric/Pneumatic Saws [27-183] for the main operating room (MOR) at Naval Hospital (NH) Pensacola. The twelve (12) Hand Drills, Surgical, Bone [11-331] shall include: four (4) drill handpieces and eight (8) handpieces capable of use with drill and ream attachments. The sixteen (16) Blades, Electric/Pneumatic Saws [27-183] shall include: four (4) reciprocating saws, eight (8) sagittal saws and four (4) oscillating tip saws. The four (4) oscillating tip saws shall not have a moving blade shaft, rather an oscillating tip, reducing noise and vibration. The battery-powered orthopedic handpieces and saws shall be capable of drilling, sawing and reaming large and small bones. The units shall be utilized in orthopedic trauma and revision procedures. The units shall be capable of performing total joint procedures in knees and hips. The units shall be capable of implanting locking plates for reconstruction and fixation of bones. The plates shall be comprised of stainless steel to insure bone stability. The units shall allow for neutral wrist position during operation. The handpieces shall be water resistant, capable of being temporarily submerged during active washing prior to sterilization. The batteries shall be insulated to reduce thermal damage. The units shall include all drill accessories, batteries, charging stations and sterilization cases for utilization. The system, including claims made for the product, shall be compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, with respect to marketing and delivering medical products for use in the United States of America. These requirements shall apply even if delivery is requested outside of the United States of America. The system shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements. The contractor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty, and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions.
