Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)/Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and their size classification relative to NAICS 334310 (size standard of 750 Employees). Preference will be given to SDVOSBs if two or more meet the qualifications and capabilities in this Notice. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is seeking sources that can provide a Studio Lights System that at a minimum meets the following equipment characteristics for the VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH: 18 Kino FLo Celeb 450Q 18 Pole Adjuster option for Celeb 450Q 18 Barn Door Set for Kino Flo 450Q 18 SMTPI80 Jounior Pin Assemly 6 Hive Hornet 200-C (Hive-HLS2C-SAF) 5 Hive ETC Source Four Barrel and Lens for Wasp 1 ETC ColorSource 20 Console 2 ARRI T6 Plus+ Aluminum Rail Black 15' 6 ARRI S2.RC6S01 Sungle Carriage with Brake for T6 Rail 6 Manfrotto FF3512N86 Panatograph with Wire Cable 1 Kino Flo Wireless Tranmistter (DMX-TL100) This request will establish a lighting system that will provide the Medical Media department at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland with a studio that can produce the best quality products for staff, patients, visitors and guests. The Contractor is responsible for the delivery of the specified items listed in the request, installation of those items and training on the operation of said equipment. The contractor will fabricate two lighting grids with the first 3 rows of 3 Kino Flow Celeb 450Q LED DMX programable lighting fixtures with barn doors and pole adjustable yoke mount for left/right pan and up/down tilt but are mounted in a fixed position both vertically and horizontally. The forth row will be comprised of a Arri carriage rail with three carriages with brakes, Manafrotto Pantographs with a Hive Hornet 200-C from each of the six locations. All the lights will be wired and controlled with the ETC ColorSource 20 lighting console. As part of the installation custom lengthen cables will be made and wrapped to prevent wear or damage. Upon completion the vendor will perform a complete training of the operation of the new system as well as continued support and training as needed for a period of no less than two years. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If you are interested, and can provide the sought out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business a: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)? (2) Is your company considered small under the NAICS code identified under this RFI? (3) Are you the manufacturer or a distributor of the items being researched above? (4) If you re a VOSB/SDVOSB and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above, do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? (5) If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? (6) Does your company have FSS GSA/NASA SEWP/NAC or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract number. (7) If you are an FSS GSA/NASA SEWP/NAC or federal contract holder, are the items you are providing information for available on your schedule/contract? (8) Does your company have a history of Past Performance where similar systems were installed at Federal Government Facilities (preferably VA)? Please list them with contact information. These would be examples of your company s experience with Studio Light Systems and will be followed up by examining government records of Past Performance. (8) Please submit your capabilities in regards to the salient characteristics being provided and any information pertaining to equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes? *** Submissions addressing Section (9) should show clear, compelling and convincing*** evidence that all equal to items" meet all the salient characteristics. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to christopher.blazejewski@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 12 pm (noon) eastern time. June 20, 2018. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this source sought.
