SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting market research on behalf of VISN 6 VAMCs through this sources-sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and Small Businesses who can provide an Aluminum upright shelving system per salient specs listed below: CLINS DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QTY UNIT 0001 Aluminum upright SHELVING system used to support the storage capacity of surgical wrap sets and rigid containers. (Must meet salient specs below) 1 System Required Salient Specifications (Specs): Shelving must be constructed from light alloy anodized aluminum to support the storage capacity of surgical wrapped sets and rigid containers. Shelving must be constructed to support the storage capacity of surgical wrapped sets and rigid containers. Each individual shelf must support a minimum weight of 30lbs. Each self must have wheels: Two wheels on the front of each cart must have locking brakes. All wheels must have fully sealed casters. Must be one system of multiple carts in 3 separate rows. Total rows of carts must be able to fit in floor space of no more than 20 ft. x 11 ft. Shelving system must be no more than a maximum of 3 separate rows. Rows 1 and 2 will be back to back with 3 ft. minimum / 4 ft. maximum hallway between rows 2 and 3. See attached example drawing of shelving system setup. Each cart must have a solid bottom surface shelf. All shelving (except for bottom of cart) must be autoclavable wire. (no baskets) Must have silicone rubber mat for use on stainless steel wire shelves. Cart height must be no less than a minimum of 6 ½ feet and no more than 7 ½ feet. Must have compatible case cart system. All interested parties should respond, in writing via email to melisha.evans@va.gov. Your response is required by 4:00pm on June 19, 2018. This is strictly market research and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov) to be considered for SDVOSB/VOSB Socio-Economic status. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov to be considered for an award.
