Description

This is not a request for proposal or request for quote. There is no solicitation document available. This is a notice of intent issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District to negotiate a sole source contract with Kraft Power Corporation for service on the Survey Vessel Catlett Hamilton's Jet Engines. Engine services are required to keep the vessel operational during the collection of bathymetry data from the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. This service will be used to change out anodes, belts and lubricate the engine parts for another 1000 hours of service. The vessel and engines are still under warranty however, anyone other than the manufacturer or their certified state representative will void the warranty. Any major damage to the engine housing that would be covered under warranty may lead to the Catlett being out of service until the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is able to solicit for a new engine. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government, and information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government/USACE will not be responsible for paying for any of the costs incurred and associated with the development of any responses submitted to this posting. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333618.
