THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time Market Research is being conducted to verify the availability of capable Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests to provide the following. FIRE ALARM TESTING, MAINTENANCE, AND INSPECTION SERVICES The Department of Veterans Affairs at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center Richmond, VA is seeking potential sources capable of providing fire alarm testing, maintenance, and inspection services on-site at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center (RICVAMC) 1201 Broad Rock Road Richmond, VA 23249. Testing, maintenance and inspections may include but are not all inclusive to tampers, waterflows, smoke detectors, duct detectors, audio/visual, off premise notification, fire pump test and pump curve, dampers, fire hydrant testing, FDC, dry pipe systems, antifreeze, deluge, roll up fire doors, elevator recall, kitchen hood annual systems, fire extinguishers, FM 200, Pyro/Chem (Hazmat Shed) MRI CO2 and pull stations. To perform these fire services individuals must be adequately trained, certified and capable of performing, testing, maintenance and inspections and any necessary repairs to the major equipment manufacturer Edwards (EST) system. Contractors will be required to provide all labor, tools, materials, supervision and technical & expertise to accomplish the fire alarm testing, maintenance, and inspections at the Richmond VAMC TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. The RICVAMC has a requirement for a contractor to provide fire alarm testing, maintenance, and inspections for various areas of the hospital. Duties to include: Edwards System (EST) certified and capable of testing, maintenance, and inspections on any necessary repairs to the major equipment manufacturer Edwards (EST) system. Licensure Contractor will possess and furnish written proof of a current state of Virginia license to work on tamper switches, duct detectors, smoke detectors, elevator controls, damper controls, pull stations, and other such licensing, certifications, etc. as required by code, regulation and law. Contractor shall also furnish information about qualifications, ability to perform the work and references regarding to related experience in health care facilities. Any NICET certifications must be on file with the VA Contracting Office. If your company is interested in performing these services, please notify our office of your intent.
