Description
Sources Sought Synopsis: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement. The Government is seeking to identify qualified small and large business sources. This notice is for market research purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to rank submittals or provide any reply to interested companies and responses will not be returned. CONTRACT INFORMATION: The St. Louis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (MVS) is conducting market research for replacement of a wastewater treatment facility located on the eastern shore of Carlyle Lake, near Boulder, Illinois. MVS anticipates awarding a contract for a sixty (60) day period of performance. The Government intends to procure this as a brand name or equal acquisition. As a result, the Government is performing market research in order to determine what businesses possess the capability to execute the requirements within this acquisition. Respondents need to indicate all business designations (small business, 8(a), certified HUB Zone, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman Owned, Minority, Native American and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned). Interested small business firms who meet the capability requirements identified in this notice are requested to reply to this notice with a response to the questions below. If no experience or capabilities are associated with a particular question, so indicate. PROJECT INFORMATION: The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District (MVS) is conducting market research for replacement of a wastewater treatment facility located on the eastern shore of Carlyle Lake, near Boulder, Illinois. The replacement of the facility includes removal of the existing extended aeration package wastewater treatment plant, installation of new package plant, all incidental gravity piping needed to make connections to the new plant, connection of all necessary electrical and plumbing utilities, connection/installation of all necessary plant components allowing operability of the system to the standards indicated in Table 1.1 attached. Removal of the existing plant may include, but not necessarily be limited to demolition of pavement and excavation. Installation of new plant may include, but not necessarily be limited to construction of pavement and ancillary buildings to support the new wastewater treatment plant. This market research does not convey an all or none requirement. Respondents are requested to respond with their experience and capabilities to support any or all of the services identified at the enterprise, regional, and or local level (s). SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms should submit a document which furnishes information describing relevant demonstrated experience and qualifications. Sources Sought responses shall include: 1) Name and address of responding company, CAGE code, business size and applicable small business sub-categories, company point of contact, telephone number, fax number and email addresses; and capability packages which include at least (3) three projects "indicating equipment utilized" that your company has performed replacement of a wastewater treatment facility. 2) Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice. The Government requests interested firms submit one (1) copy of their capability and experience response no later than 10:00 a.m., Central Standard Time, on 22 June 2018 and should not exceed 10 one-sided, 8.5 X 11 inch pages, with the font no smaller than 10 point, to Twila Hopkins, St Louis District, Corps of Engineers, via email at twila.a.hopkins2@usace.army.mil, hardcopies or facsimile will not be accepted.
