Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice (Request for Information). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Government seeks a vendor that can provide a Benchmark Ultra, the Symphony, and the Benchmark Special Stains Systems for the Department of Pathology at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. The System shall be a xylene/alcohol free (zero hazardous waste generation) system and a system that has limited exposure to stains/reagents (pre-packaged) and fresh stain/reagent for each slide. The Government also has a technical requirement that the system shall be able to interface with current computer software, and that a remote trouble shooting system shall be available that does require the company to access DoD information systems. The Benchmark ULTRA Platform (1) shall allow for automated baking, deparaffinization, cell conditioning and Immunohistochemical staining; (2) shall have one to 30 slides with independent processing/functionality and temperature control for each position. The Symphony H&E staining platform (1) shall allow random access slide processing and the ability to designate slides/cases at STAT on demand; (2) shall perform continuous slide loading; random slide processing; automated, on-board deparaffinization; paraffin removal; and on-board, automated slide curing; (3) shall have a modular design with two ovens and three slide staining modules for optimal up-time, built in redundancy and ease of maintenance; (4) shall be designed to allow complete access to reagents while the instrument is in operation so that new stains can be loaded during processing runs; (5) shall possess a remote instrument monitoring capability that can detect and fix software problem remotely, maximizing system up time. A Certificate of Networthiness (CON) is not a prerequisite for this capability as it does not require access to the TAMC Network or PHI for remote troubleshooting; (6) shall use fresh reagent for each slide meeting the Government need/requirement for reduced possibility of patient to patient contamination; (7) all of the above meet the government need/requirement for improved workflow, most efficient use of personnel, and improved turnaround time for patient testing. The Benchmark Special Stain Platform (1) shall allow for baking, deparaffinization and staining of special stains; (2) shall have one to 20 slides with independent temperature control for each position; and (3) shall have twenty-five reagent positions. The delivery date shall be 30 days ARO. NAICS code is 339112. Interested parties shall replay to Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific VIA EMAIL to tae.h.kim76.civ@mail.mil.
