Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 1-1615-299 REVISION 05/14/2010 is adequate to support the Overhaul/Upgrade of the Transmission Mechanic; however, because this item is a Critical Safety Item (CSI), overhaul and upgrade can only be performed by the Approved sources. Currently, the only known three approved sources for the overhaul/upgrade Transmission Mechan are: Boeing Cage Code 8V613, Northstar Aerospace (Chicago) Cage Code 22907 and Timken Aerospace Transmissions, LLC Cage Code 15152. Interested parties who have capability to perform the above effort should respond to this notice and identify your business size and socio economic status as applicable. Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home. Questions concerning SAR submissions can be directed to the ED SAR Team at EDSAR@amrdec.army.mil or call the SAR Team at 256-313-8978, 256-313-0341 or 256-313-8994.
