Description
Attachment 03: Davis Bacon Wage Determination Attachment 02: Kings River Specifications Attachment 01: Kings River Plans PL84-99 Kings River Levee Breach Repair Project Request for Proposal: Project Description: This project consists of levee breach repair near Leemore (Kings County) CA. Levee Breach Repair -- Repairing the levee breach will require excavating materials placed to temporarily repair the breach. Depending on their properties, these materials may be stockpiled for reuse or disposed of offsite. The excavation will also be sloped back into the existing levee to expose an appropriate repair surface. As required, replacement soil with appropriate geotechnical properties will be imported. Stockpiled and/or new soil will then be properly placed/compacted to restore the levee to its pre-damage configuration. Proper placement of the fill materials may require installing a coffer dam to control water within the excavation. When repairs are complete the site will be reseeded, any damage to haul routes will be repaired, and the surface material of the levee crown will be reestablished. Levee breach repairs are typically done from land. One levee breach repair is expected to be required for this effort. It involves a levee reach approximately 130 long by 90 feet wide with an excavation depth ranging from 9 to 13 feet from the top of the levee. In accordance with the FAR 36.204, the magnitude disclosure of this construction project is between $1m and $5m. This proposed contract action will be conducted using FSC Code: Y1LC, Construction of Tunnels and Subsurface Structures and North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS): 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. The RFP will proceed as a HUBZone small business set-aside. See solicitation for site visit information. BE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELLED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE PRE-SOLICITATION, SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS.
