Page 2 of 2 SOURCES SOUGHT: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research, on behalf of Richmond VAMC, through this sources sought to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Small Businesses (SB), registered under NAICS code 339113, capable of supplying: Salient Characteristics Minimum Requirements for Omega Scanner 3D or equal: Functions to be performed; The system must be able to quickly and easily, without contact, scan and capture body part shapes, and through accompanying software and hardware, be able to generate a 3D image in near real time, with three or less landmarks used for reference. The generated 3D model needs to be able to be manipulated and stored as a digital file, able to be sent to a separate carver. Performance required; Scanning method: Structured light Measurement Rate Minimum: 500,000 measures /sec. Resolution Minimum: 1 mm (0.04 in.) Accuracy Up to: 0.500 mm (0.02 in.) Depth-of-field: Minimum 250 mm (10 in.) Scanning Area Minimum: 380 mm x 380 mm (15 in. x 15 in.) Connection Standard Minimum: USB 2.0 Hardware display screen must be minimum of VGA and 15 diagonally System must include hardware and software able to properly receive data from scanner in real time, and able to manipulate, modify, save, store and transfer the cad files created. System must include all power and connection cables necessary for system to perform its intended task of scanning, modifying, and saving scanned models. Essential Physical Characteristics; Weight Needs to be less than: 900 g (1.98 lbs.) Portability Needs to be hand held. Scanner must have a hard case for safe storage and transportation. Hardware display screen must be minimum of VGA and 15 diagonally. Two day on-site training; This includes training fees and travel expenses for 1 Instructor for a 2 day session. CEUs are provided. If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable. All respondents shall submit capability statements signifying that they meet the above-mentioned specifications. The capability statements received from this market research survey are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research survey. The Government will not assume any costs incurred by the contractor in the preparation of responses.
