Description
Ballistic Vest Vendor Day Washington Headquarters Services (WHS)/Acquisition Directorate (AD) Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) A. Purpose. PFPA will host a Ballistic Vest Vendor Day on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00PM. The purpose of this event is to bring innovations from potential vendors in law enforcement equipment technology to the Pentagon Police for review and consideration when developing future requirements. Location: Pentagon Library and Conference Center, 9000 Defense Pentagon, Washington, D.C. 20301 You are invited to attend a Vendor Day Event for law enforcement professionals, hosted by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), Facilities, Acquisitions & Logistics Division (FALD), Pentagon Police Department (PPD), and the Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisitions Directorate (WHS/AD). There is a 25 vendor limit for attendance to this event. Priority for registration will be given to Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) that can demonstrate technological innovations. B. Introduction/Background. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) mission is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement operations as required for the people, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and for DoD activities and DoD-occupied facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR). C. Description of Ballistic Vest Requirements Ballistic Vest Characteristics 1. External Load Bearing Vest 2. Level IIIA vest that has the ability to upgrade to a Level III ceramic plate 3. MOLLE webbing 4. Velcro base to attach badges, insignias, and etc. 5. Provides modularity Optional features 1. Buckles to attach auxiliary equipment 2. Front zipper Request vendors to bring samples for officers to try on. D. Registration Requirements. To register for this event, please submit a corporate capabilities statement. The corporate capabilities statement is limited to three (3) pages and should include the following: 1. Company name, address and phone number 2. Primary Point of Contact name, phone and email 3. Socio-Economic status 4. Associated NAICS codes 5. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 6. If respondent has a government contract vehicle such as a Federal Supply Schedule (FFS) or other government-wide use contract 7. A description of the law enforcement technology product to be showcased at the industry day 8. An image of the product to be showcase (preferably a picture). E. Deadline. The Government requests interested parties to submit a letter of interest and capability statement via email with the subject line "PFPA Vendor Day - Vest" to Ms. Kristyl White at kristyl.g.white.civ@mail.mil and Mr. Xavier Pitts at xavier.j.pitts.civ@mail.mil by Monday July 11, 2018 at 5:00 pm. F. Disclaimer and Important Notes. 1. Those interested in attending and do not have un-escorted access to the Pentagon, shall submit their Full Names (including middle initial), no later than July 13, 2018 to Mr. Xavier Pitts at xavier.j.pitts.civ@mail.mil. 2. Due to space limitations, attendance will be limited to two (2) attendees per company. 3. On the date of the event, Friday, July 20, 2018, participants requiring an escort must arrive with two forms of identification at the Visitor Control Center (VCC) no later than 11:00 AM to be provided escort to the conference room. 4. Parking on the Pentagon reservation is limited. PFPA will coordinate parking clearances for registered attendees. PFPA will provide a parking clearance form for registered attendees to submit no later than July 13, 2018 to PFPA parking services for access. Same day parking registration is not available. 5. This Notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal/Quotation; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor will the Government pay for any information provided; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Notice or Government use of any information provided. Respondents are advised that the Government be under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. 6. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response to this Notice. The Government reserves the right to use any information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate, including using technical information provided by respondents in any resultant solicitation. 7. At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION and DO NOT SUBMIT OFFERS. After a review of the responses received, twenty five vendors will be invited to the Vendor Day Event. 8. See attached for detailed instructions.
