Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources able to provide Microbiology Reagents, to include equipment lease with salient features listed below, maintenance, and training, for use in the Medical Center at Keesler AFB, MS. This notice does not constitute a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Further, we are not at this time seeking proposals; therefore, DO NOT request a copy of a solicitation or submit a proposal as a result of this notice. Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this sources sought and that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with responding to this sources sought will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, should one be issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise from a response to the notice. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps website for additional information pertaining to this sources sought. RESPONSE INFORMATION: Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than 8:00 AM CST, on Monday, 2 July 2018. Responses should be emailed to: katie.fulford.1@us.af.mil AND lindsey.connors@us.af.mil. It is the responsibility of the respondent to ensure their email has been received by either the Contract Specialist, Katie Fulford, at 228-377-5504 or Contracting Officer, Lindsey Connors, at 228-377-1840 or via email PRIOR to the deadline. Responses and/or inquiries WILL NOT be accepted past the deadline. Interested parties should include their company name, address, phone number, point of contact, CAGE code, company size status and whether or not they are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm. All interested parties must provide a response containing a written statement, confirming they can comply with the government needs, as specified above. All respondees to this Sources Sought Notice understand, by submitting this written statement, they are certifying they can meet ALL criteria. Salient Features: • Must be able to perform automated Yeast susceptibility testing • Must be able to perform Anaerobe testing • Must be able to perform Neisseria/Haemophilus testing • Must be able to screen for Inducible Clindamycin Resistance • Must not require any additional on board reagents to be added to sample to perform testing • Must not require any technician added reagents/indicators to perform testing • Must not require on board Deionized water to perform testing • Must not require piped in Deionized water system • Must be a heat sealed, closed test system in order to eliminate cross-contamination • Must be Platform Information Technology (PIT) approved • Must be able to interface with Composite Health Care System (CHCS) • Must have a data base available to link the blood culture analyzer to the microbiology analyzer and both of them to the existing laboratory (CHCS) interface to send and receive information. • Must interface with provided blood culture analyzer • Bench top analyzer, less than 27 inches wide, less than 40 inches high, 28 inches deep and 250 pounds • Must require minimal patient sample setup • Batching must not be required to achieve either operational efficiency or cost savings • Must utilize a factory applied bar code label and integrated transfer tubes • Must be able to utilize saline only for inoculum • Automated inoculation required • Must provide training for a key technician on both the microbiology analyzer and the blood culture analyzer • Must provide 24/7 phone technical support • Must not make liquid waste and minimal solid waste
