- Paving Tentative Agenda Paving Registration Form The Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Bliss Office along with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Fort Bliss, invite you to attend an Industry Day for the 5-Year Fort Bliss Paving 8(a) requirement. Date: 20 July 2018 Registration Time: 0730 MST Start Time: 0800 MST End Time: 1630 MST Location: Event will be held in the El Paso, TX area. The location will be provided only to vendors that RSVP by the registration deadline. The event will begin at 0800 MST. Check-in at the event will begin at 0730 MST. A complete/most current agenda for the event will be provided at check-in. Reference the attached Tentative Agenda for a summary of the events for the day. IAW FAR 19.805-1(a)(1), the Paving requirement is an 8(a) Competitive acquisition set-aside for 8(a) certified firms whose business plans are being serviced by the Small Business Administration (SBA) El Paso District Office or SBA New Mexico District Office operating under the NAICS code 237310. The applicable SBA Small Business Size Standard is $36.5M. Those wishing to attend the Paving Industry Day must RSVP in writing by filling out the attached registration form and submit to the following Point of Contract (POC) no later than, 11 July 2018, @ 0900 MST: Natalia Lerma, Contract Specialist, natalia.lerma.civ@mail.mil Upon receipt of the RSVP, a confirmation email will be sent by the POC with additional information regarding the meeting venue. If you do not receive confirmation by 1600 MST on Friday, 13 July 2018, please contact the POC identified above. There are no site visit tours scheduled for this event. The purpose of this event is to receive industry feedback on draft specifications and requirements as well as improve industry's understanding of DPW's requirements, answer questions on the scope of work, and outline the contracting methodology being used. The Government is specifically seeking industry's assistance in gathering additional required information to refine the requirement. One-on-one discussion sessions will be held in 20 minute intervals with interested 8(a) Vendors ONLY and each of the Government's Functional Area Experts. (**One-on-one meetings will not be for the purpose of discussing capabilities, but will be for the purpose of receiving industry feedback on the draft specifications and requirements.**) The Primary Vendor must be accompanied by at least one of his/her Technical Experts. A response to any unanswered questions during the one-on-one sessions will be published on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) after the event. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Attendance of the Paving Industry Day is not mandatory for contractors interested in the Paving requirement. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this posting. The Government will not reimburse attendees for any cost associated with participation or attending the Industry Day, and is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. Additionally, this announcement in no way commits the Government to issue a solicitation. The requested information is to assist MICC-Fort Bliss in conducting Market Research and will assist in better defining the requirement.
