Description

This is a Request for Information this is not a Request for Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The appropriate NAICS Code is 339113 Surgical Appliance & Supplies Manufacturing (please annotate different NAICS if applicable) The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, and the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY anticipate a purchase order for the following: MFG Euclid Medical Products Comparable items will be considered 0001 CADET TWIN 2X2 Pill Packaging Machine with 2x2 inch packaging size 0002 Trade In credit for existing Euclid 2X2 Required Salient Characteristics Linear and 2D barcoding capabilities - Incremental numbering capabilities - USB connection - 300 DPI fade-resistant thermal transfer printing - Software, which offers true type fonts, controlled drug symbol, customizable reports, password protection - Accommodates variable package lengths - Durable, one-piece cast aluminum frame - Servo motor for precision packages - Optional auto cutoff feature available for purchase - Class A and B packaging to existing - Stainless steel tabletop - 120 units per minute (Computer Printing System Includes: Machine, Cable, Software, Variable Package Length, On-site Installation - Programmable Automatic Cutoff - Color Computer - Work Station Cart) This procurement would be for new items only; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. FOB - destination Interested vendors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. If the offeror is quoting/offering or equal items, the offeror must submit manufacturer product literature that confirms the item(s) meets all the salient characteristics for the specified items. The salient characteristics for the specified item(s) are contained in the applicable manufacturer s literature. Offerors MUST enter exactly what they are quoting (including unit cost, total cost, make, model, manufacturer, part number, and description (salient features detailing the functional, mechanical, performance, and physical characteristics) in order for the quote to be considered. If the offeror is quoting/offering or equal items, the offeror must clearly identify the exact make, model, manufacturer and item description for each line item to be considered. Quotes/offerors that do not provide an adequate description of how the equal product meets the salient characteristics will not be considered for award. Documentation that confirms the company is registered and is the required socio-economic category in the System for Award Management (SAM). Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) offerors must be verified by the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) at the time of submission of proposal. Failure to be verified will result in the offeror s proposal to be deemed non-responsive. Responses should address how you will meet the Government's needs and provide a brief capability statement.
