Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quotation, or invitation for bids. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes. This notice does not commit the Government to issue any type of solicitation or award an ultimate contract. It does not restrict the Government from a particular approach. The Government does not pay for information obtained through this type of notice. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, PWD Great Lakes, is seeking to identify potential firms capable of providing electrical high voltage services and minor construction. Services include, but are not limited to: transformer oil testing and maintenance, relay testing and calibration, breaker testing and repair, power pole inspection, generator testing and repair, uninterruptible power supply testing and repair, system studies/analysis (coordination, short circuit and arc flash), SCADA troubleshooting and repair and weed treatment. Minor construction includes, but is not limited to: ductbank install, cable replacement, switch replacement, transformer replacement and relay replacement. The contract term will be for a base period and four (4) one (1) year option periods. The planned NAICS for this requirement is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a size standard of $15 million. If issued, the solicitation will utilize source selection procedures which will require offerors to submit a proposal for evaluation by the Government. Submitted Sources Sought Questionnaires must be completed and sufficiently detailed to assist the Government in determining the firm ™s qualifications to perform the defined work. Interested parties are requested to submit the attached Sources Sought Questionnaire to NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic, PWD Great Lakes, Attention: Ann Bonis, Contract Specialist, 310 Seabee Way, Great Lakes, IL 60088-3147, or via email to ann.bonis@navy.mil. Receipt of potential offeror ™s sources sought package shall be received no later than Friday July 6, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time. This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP); it as a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice.
