- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for a new Still Basin and Abutment Support Wall at Charleroi Locks and Dam 4 located on the Monongahela River, Pennsylvania. The general description of the work is as follows: The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, testing, demonstrations, and all operations required for a new Charleroi Stilling Basin and Abutment Protection Wall at the Charleroi Locks and Dam, Charleroi PA. The work includes dredging and excavation; furnishing and installing all concrete, grout bags, and derrick stone protection in the dam stilling basin; and all concrete, grout bags, sheet pile, and pipe pile in the abutment protection wall. The contractor shall be responsible for all materials and equipment required, including designing, furnishing, and erecting all necessary scaffolds, work platforms, form work, templates, etc. required for the performance of the work. The contractor will be required to coordinate activities thru the USACE Resident Engineer for there will be lock operations and other contractor working at the Lock & Dam. The magnitude of the project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This procurement will be advertised on an Unrestricted basis. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. The work shall be completed 1,095 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately 06 July 2018, online through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the FBO.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing notification of any changes to this solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to receiving any federal contract award (visit www.sam.gov to register). Every new registrant is now required to provide a written notarized letter to confirm the entity's Administrator, that is authorized to register the vendor in SAM, or make changes to its registration, BEFORE GSA will activate the entity's registration.
