Description

This is a notice of intent for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located in Houston, Texas to negotiate using sole source procedures with Bruker Daltonics, Inc., a large business, to provide preventative maintenance on the MALDI biotyper system (microflex, LT based MS hardware) S/N: 603464.01385. The Government believes that this is the only vendor capable of satisfying the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106(b). Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this announcement by 4.30p.m. Central Time, June 27, 2018. Such information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
