Description

B52 DCDR Sources Sought This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) only. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Human Systems Program Office (AFLCMC/WNU) is conducting a market assessment to identify potential sources and companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to respond to the requirements listed in this document with a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) procurement of try, decide, buy test assets for the B-52 Drag Chute Drying Rack (B52 DCDR) program solution. The try, decide, buy method allows the Program Office to see what COTS items are currently available that could potentially fulfill the requirements, buy a small quantity to try, and then determine the best item to fill the capability gap. This is intended to better enable the Government to buy an item that is closest to what the user will require in an operational environment. ALFCMC/WNU is issuing this SSS to explore cost effective options to provide this capability and to obtain valuable feedback in regards to the requirements. This SSS is issued solely for information and planning purposes and will be considered to determine the acquisition strategy for the B52 DCDR as well as future solicitations.
