Description
The following questions were presented regarding this Solicitation/Synopsis. Please add the answers into your consideration for your estimate. • For the training, what post processing software does the end customer want to use? Is it Pix4D or Propeller? They both are very similar, so I do not see the need for both. Response: Pix4D will be fine; no need for Propeller at this stage • For the service package, please describe in detail what you mean by "Agras repair-exchange, HexH2O repair exchange" Response: "repair-exchange" refers to capability of the vendor to expedite a replacement ‘loaner' drone for us to use in the event we crash/damage our drone; the loaner will either serve as a permanent replacement, or a stopgap until the original drone can be sent back for repairs. 1. Are the trainees currently familiar with flying drones or are we teaching flight training from the ground up? Response: No prior experience 2. On the training package, how involved does that training need to be on the flight systems, propeller aeropoints, and Pix4D? (for example: an overview of the entire Pix4D program or specific features for what the end user will be doing) Response: We primarily need flight/operation training focused on the drone itself; we only need overview supporting software packages 3. What is the expectation for the service/exchange program. (for example: duration of the program, is a temporary copter required while theirs is being service or are they considered out of service if their equipment needs to be fixed) We prefer the vendor to be capable of expediting a replacement ‘loaner' drone for us to use in the event we crash/damage our drone; the loaner will either serve as a permanent replacement, or a stopgap until the original drone can be sent back for repairs. 4. Do the trainees currently have access to Pix4D or will they have access before the training? Response: We only need an overview of Pix4D and may not need to purchase this program; a free trial for 1 month is available which will help us determine if we need it. If we do, then we will have to consider it on a separate purchase (cost ~$3,500) 5. The number of people being trained? Response: Four (4) personnel 6. Is the training done at the end users location or our facility? Response: Training must be done at CMAVE or within 1-2 hr driving distance 7. Is there a number of expected days for the training? (minimum or maximum number of days) Response: Prefer no more than 3-5 days total.
