Description

Network Contracting Office 7 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Project 619-17-102, Replace Air Handling Equipment Building 1 located at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Contractor shall supply all labor, material, supervision, equipment. replace Air Handling Units, chilled water/hot water piping along with accompanying ductwork for the Surgery (AHU 1AC2-14) and for the recovery (AHU 1AC2-13). The Surgery system will be converted from 100% outside air to the quantity required to comply with the VA design Manual (4 air changes per hour). Project also includes the replacement of grease exhaust fans serving the canteen. To ensure proper climate control is achieved, the air handling units shall be equipped with an automatic humidification system that can be remotely monitored. Period of Performance is 240 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available at www.fbo.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendments, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. This project is being solicited as a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB). The offerors must be listed in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov at the time bids are received. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. The magnitude of construction is between $500,00 and $1,000,000. The formal solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about July 9, 2018. Telephone calls will not be accepted. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE AND NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. Any costs incurred because of this announcement shall be borne by the firm and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement.
