Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is preparing a solicitation for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide process, project engineering, work control and test engineering support to the Ship Repair Facility “ Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) Yokosuka, Japan. The effort will require the following number and types of contractor employees: Planning and Estimating: Requires 0 and maximum of 50 contractor employees will be required to provide process support by developing and issuing job summaries and task group instructions in the Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) system. Waterfront Engineering: Requires 0 and maximum of 5 contractor employees will be required to provide project engineering support by providing engineering support in the advance planning and execution phases of surface ship and carrier maintenance availabilities. Test Engineering: Requires 0 and maximum of 2 contractor employees will be required to provide work control and test engineering support in the advance planning and execution phases of surface ship and carrier maintenance availabilities. Project Engineering: Requires 0 minimum to 2 maximum contractor employees. The contractor shall provide Project Engineering support by providing Engineering services support in the Advance Planning and Execution Phases of Surface Ship and Carrier Maintenance Availabilities Naval Architect Technician / Structural Engineer Technician: Requires 0 minimum to 2 maximum contractor employees. The contractor shall provide Naval Architect Technician/Structural Engineer Technician support in the advance planning and execution phases of surface ship availabilities An electronic draft copy of the Performance Work Statement may be requested from the contract specialist via email at: tiffany.wu1@navy.mil. The period of performance will begin at the date of contract award and continue for two years thereafter. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine whether or not the requirement can be fulfilled by any small business concerns. This will be a best value source selection on the basis of technical capability, past performance, and cost/price. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on the NECO website July or August of 2018 and will remain open for approximately 30 days. The following information is requested of all interested small business offerors in order to determine whether enough capable small businesses exist to set the requirement aside for small business concerns: The type of work your company has performed in the recent past in support of the same or similar requirements Whether or not your company has managed a task of this nature before Whether or not your company has managed a team of subcontractors, and if so, how many The specific technical skills your company possesses which will ensure capability to perform the requirements An explanation of your company ™s ability to perform greater than 50 percent of the efforts required The business size standard of your company for NAICS 541330 Your company ™s Cage Code
