It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government-wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. GSA's Public Building Service (PBS) provides workplaces to more than one million Federal employees nationwide. PBS manages a national real estate portfolio of over 9,600 buildings which includes more than 1,500 federally-owned buildings and facilities. We use a contracted workforce to operate, maintain, preserve and clean these owned real property assets. Contracts awarded for these services are typically a one (1) year base with four (4) one year options. GSA has established a national specification for its basic operations and maintenance contracts. The specification is revised on a periodic basis (the last one was 2012) to support new congressional and executive mandates, industry trends and changes, agency priorities and other changes that are important to improving the stewardship of our buildings and facilities and to reduce operating costs. GSA has updated the specifications and we are requesting industry input from commercial operations/maintenance and custodial vendors that are currently under contract to GSA or may be interested in partnering with GSA in the future. Your input is valuable to help us further develop appropriate requirements that may improve our facilities, reduce costs, and simplify a contractor's ability to maintain our facilities.
