- This notice announces the intent by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis IAW FAR Part 13.501(a). The proposed source is Miltenyi Biotech Inc., 2303 Lindbergh Street, Auburn, CA 95602. U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) Orthopaedic Trauma Department's mission is to identify and mitigate mechanisms that impair wound healing in trauma. The Miltenyi Biotech MACSQuant10 is a benchtop cell analyzer that allows the Orthopaedic Trauma (OT) Department to accomplish its mission. It is a highly sensitive, multi-parameter cell analyzer that provides fully automated instrument setup using pre-set calibration and compensation programs, as well as automated startup, shutdown, and cleaning cycles for instrument housekeeping. The onboard MACSQuantify TM Software, allows for straightforward instrument control, data acquisition, and fully automated analysis. With its high sensitivity and resolution, the Miltenyi Biotech MACSQuant10 Analyzer can carry out multiparametric cell analysis via three lasers and up to ten optical channels. The MACSQuant10 Analyzer is instrumental in allowing the characterization of cells of the immune system and their response to immunomodulation. This information allows for the identification and assessment of immunotherapies that could potentially improve wound healing. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516. with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. Closing date for challenges is no later than 3:00 pm local (Eastern Time), 12 July 2018. No phone calls will be accepted. Please note that a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
