Description
A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on THURSDAY, 26 JULY 2018 FROM 10:00AM - 11:00AM. The call-in number is: 877-402-9753, the ACCESS CODE is: 6546236, and the SECURITY CODE is: 2873. It is requested that an email be sent to william.j.wallace@usace.army.mil to confirm attendance by your organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consist of maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. The excavated material will be distributed among the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), the Fernandina Nearshore Disposal Area, Dredging requires material that must be placed offshore to be performed by a CG certified dredge. All excavated material will be distributed among the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS)(D/A-O), the Fernandina Nearshore Disposal Area (D/A-N), and the Fort Clinch Disposal Area (D/A-F). Incidental work includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species monitoring, vibration monitoring, beach fill quality control, and sea turtle non-capture trawling. Place of performance: Kings Bay Naval Station, GA. The anticipated Period of Performance is 180 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 11 July 2018 and bids will be due on or about 14 August 2018. NAICS Code 237990, size standard $27.5 million. Magnitude of construction is between $15,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. ALL RESPONSIBLE OFFERORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. NOTE: COAST GUARD CERTIFIED HOPPER DREDGE IS REQUIRED. The IFB will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (Fed Biz Opps) at https://www.fbo.gov.
